MY STORY

My name is Stela, and I was born in Lithuania, near the Nemunas River on the outskirts of Kaunas, surrounded by forests. Since childhood, nature has been my greatest source of inspiration and a part of who I am.
As a little girl, I discovered clay on the riverbank and spent countless hours shaping it into vases, bowls, and small whimsical figures. What began as a childhood pastime soon grew into a lifelong passion.

That passion led me to study ceramics formally, earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts. The high recognition of my final functional work strengthened my belief in this creative path and my own artistic vision.

To me, ceramics—like people—draws life from the four natural elements: air, water, fire, and earth. Yet its true essence lies in the creative mind. Every piece I make reflects my sense of aesthetics, simplicity, and balance, with careful attention to function and form.

One creation especially close to my heart is the wine stopper—a piece that connects practicality with artistry. Each handmade faience stopper is decorated with glazes, precious metals, gold, and subtle glitter. It’s designed not only to preserve your wine but also to bring a touch of elegance to your home.

Together with a friend who crafts wooden stands, we complete each piece with care. The smooth, apple-shaped forms and circular motifs symbolize the flow and fullness of life, bringing meaningful beauty into every space.
